Full Stack Python Developer (Python, Django/FastAPI & React)

About the role

As a Full Stack Python Developer at ZimalCloud, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of web applications that support healthcare providers and medical practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and frameworks such as Django, Django REST Framework, or FastAPI.
• Build responsive, reusable, and user-friendly frontend components using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and third-party services.
• Design and work with relational databases, including PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Implement authentication, authorization, input validation, and secure data-handling practices.
• Troubleshoot bugs, optimize application performance, and improve system reliability.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, QA, and product stakeholders to deliver features on schedule.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, technical discussions, and continuous improvement.
• Follow best practices for API design, version control, application security, and software development.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrable experience developing web applications using Python.
• Experience with at least one Python web framework, such as Django, Django REST Framework, or FastAPI.
• Proficiency in React and modern JavaScript.
• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and frontend component architecture.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and secure coding practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver quality code.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript, Redux, or other React state-management solutions.
• Familiarity with automated testing, including unit and API tests.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment.
• Knowledge of application performance optimization and scalable system design.
• Previous experience with healthcare software, EHR, practice management, medical billing, or healthcare integrations.
